Final Destination

The last photo I took before I left NZ.

Mikoy loves posing for art shots. What for? To update his profile picture. Heck we all love doing that. It just so happens that he is surrounded by friends who are creatives. Ice has the eyes for it, I have the tools, the rest of the 707 girls are the cheerleaders. We all play a part in this. I haven’t really done a photo shoot since I left New Zealand. Lost inspiration perhaps? I don’t know… I miss it though… But don’t know if I can do it again.

I got inspired by one of my best friends and former classmate Michael Custoya when he did light painting for his thesis during college days. I took the practice with me and created my own and focused on tattoos and the way light illuminates a tattoo. Tattoos that many girls (especially Asian girls with conservative family) prefer to place on spots on their body that were covered up. My practice in light painting focuses the spotlight on what is usually hidden.
